Portable Electronic Device - Screen and Message Limits

Small screens need messages to be formatted in order to be readable. iForgot can prepare results for your small screens.

PED Screen Width

Enter the width of your PED's screen width to format responses with readable indentation and line wrapping. If your PED can handle wide messages, enter a number up to 80.

PED Message Length Limit

SMS messaging is limited to 160 characters, but typical iForgot responses can be hundreds of characters long. If your PED can only handle SMS-length messages, enter the limit in this field. Longer messages will be truncated, but you can check the box labeled "Break Longer Responses in to Parts" to send as many smaller messages as needed to complete the entire message. However, this setting will result in more messages sent to your PED, possibly resulting in additional messaging costs. Please ensure that you understand your PED's messaging costs before enabling this feature.
