Frequently Asked Questions

iTunes RSS Feeds

The iTunes RSS Feeds section allows you to display constantly updated top 10 lists from the iTunes Music Store. You can use Apple's RSS generator to customize the feed to suit your interests and music genre of choice.

What are news feeds or RSS feeds?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds are small, easily shared summaries of news articles. You can use various tools (including Safari) to subscribe to an RSS feed to hear news about a particular subject, like Stocks or World Headlines. If you would like to publish the headlines for a feed that is applicable to your page, you can easily add them to your own blog page and the headlines will automatically update when the news publisher releases a new item. There are two types of news feeds available with Blog.Mac:

  1. iTunes Music Store Feeds
  2. Custom RSS News Feeds

iTunes Music Store Feeds

Apple provides feeds of new and popular music sold in the iTunes Music Store. The default feeds display the Top 10 Songs and the Top 10 Albums listed in the store. If you want to customize the genre of music shown on your web page, click the "Customize Music Genre" button to go to the Apple Feed Generator to pick your own genre of music. Once you create the customized feed address, copy and paste the feed address into the field in Blog.Mac.
