Owner Information

The Owner Information pane is where you enter information about yourself.

About Me:

Enter as little or as much information that you want displayed in your blog. There are several components to the owner infomation section.

Section Title:

Enter a brief description of your blog here. Enter several lines of text to explain the main point of this web page; this information is displayed immediately below the Blog Title.

Your Name:

Blog.Mac can automatically publish an RSS feed of your blog. This RSS feed can be read by news reader programs or web browsers on both Windows and Macintosh computers. Readers can configure their news readers to watch your blog feed and notify them whenever you publish new articles. Additionally, you can configure Blog.Mac to notify blog search engines to also watch your blog. Readers around the world can then find your blog using popular search engines.

Your Profile:

If desired, you can sign up for a free Haloscan account. Once configured, readers can leave messages or feedback about your blog articles using this free, easy to use service.

Owner Image:

If desired, you can display an image of yourself or your blog subject using this field. The image must first be saved somewhere inside your iDisk's "Sites" folder or on another public web page. If you want to capture an image now using the iSight or DV camera connected to your Mac's FireWire port, click here for directions.

E-Mail Options

If desired, you can include your e-mail address on your blog where readers will be able to click on the "Email Me" link and send you a message. You can also allow readers to chat with you by clicking on the "iChat with Me" link.
