iTunes Now Playing Options![]() The iTunes Now Playing section allows you to publish the song currently playing on your iTunes. Display "Now Playing on iTunes" on my blogSelect this checkbox to show the readers of your blog what is currenlty playing on your iTunes. While Blog.Mac is running, it regularly asks iTunes for the song that is currently playing and uploads a small data file to your web site. While your readers are viewing your blog page, the information will update before their eyes. If they click on the song name, their web browser will take them to iTunes Music Store, where they can preview the song and if they like your taste, purchase the song for themselves. Also show "Now Playing" artwork on my blog (if available)Select this checkbox to also upload a small image file of the current song's artwork. If your blog readers click on the artwork, they will be able to see a larger image. If no artwork is available, Blog.Mac will upload a generic image. Live UpdatesWhile Blog.Mac is running, this data will be uploaded to your .Mac account. Viewers that open any of your published blogs will see the iTunes Now Playing data and artwork update live. You can set the upload frequency in Blog.Mac preferences.
Note: If you are a real popular blogger, constant updates of your Now Playing data could impact your .Mac monthly download quota. While this quota is high, sites that are read by thousands of people could experience quota issues. If you feel that your popularity is high, consider turning off the artwork option. This shouldn't affect most users.
