Blog.Mac Main Window

On this window, you can see your available storage, upload status, iTunes Now Playing info, and controls for the iSight WebCam.

Blog.Mac Main Window

At the top of the window, you'll see your .Mac user name, the number of days you have left on your .Mac account registration, your storage quota and remaining storage. Please keep an eye on the remaining storage; if you run out of room, you won't be able to publish your blog!

Next, you'll see the "Action in Progress" section. Whenever Blog.Mac needs to upload data to your .Mac iDisk, you'll see information about the upload in this section of the window.

Below the Action bar, you'll see the iTunes Now Playing section (click for more information). Depending on your application preference settings (click the Blog.Mac→Preferences menu), Blog.Mac will display the song currently playing in your iTunes. Clicking the "Update" button refreshes the now playing window on this screen and immediately uploads the new song title to your iDisk to update all of your published blog files. This is helpful when you are shuffling through music and an embarassing show tune is playing and updated on your blog!

The bottom half of the Blog.Mac main window is the iSight/DV WebCam interface (click for more information). This area displays a preview of the iSight or DV camera connected to your Mac via FireWire. You can also use the controls here to take a snapshot for your blog profile or an email message.
