Adding a File

Adding files to the menu is easy. Select "Configure..." if the System Preferences pane isn't already opened.

There are two ways to add items to the Apparatus menu: single item-by-item addition, or simple "Drag and Drop."

Add single files by clicking on the "Add File..." button. A sheet will open up and let you navigate to the file or folder that you want to add. If you select an application, that application will launch when selected in the Apparatus menu. If you select a file, that file will open in the file's application when selected in the Apparatus menu. If you select a folder, Apparatus will tell the Finder to open that folder and bring it in front of all open windows or applications.

To add a file (or many files) by Drag and Drop, select the files in the finder and drag them to the correct location in the Apparatus System Preferences window's menu structure.
